Meaning

There is a gap between God and everybody. This gap is either widening or closing, depending on how a person lives his life. For obedient children of God, the gap becomes less and less, until they reach the throne of God and become one with God. But for the disobedient people, the gap becomes wider and wider, and is therefore, called widening gap.

Reason Why

The gap becomes wider and wider, if a person is living a life of disobedience to the word of God. Such a person does not abide in the paths of righteousness and Covenant System Of Worship.

General Ignorance

Generally, most of the children of God do not know about this widening gap, and that is why many of them do not care about their spiritual life. That a person is a member of a religion, church, ministry and fellowship means little or nothing in heaven. What matters is abiding in the paths of righteousness and Covenant System Of Worship, which majority of humanity are not doing.

A person may sit at the front seat in the church, yet the widening gap between him and God may be as long as ten billions miles away. Another person may sit at the back of the congregation, but the gap between him and God is little or nothing.

The Consequences

The wider the gap becomes, the more efforts and more time it will take the person to return to God. The time many be several reincarnations with hardships and sufferings. Also, more time and more efforts mean series of deliverances, spiritual works, purifications and sanctifications shall be done to cleanse a person and bring him close to God.

Disappointments

Many Christians are disappointed when problems, hardships and sufferings or strange incidents happen to them. They expect God to prevent such happenings, or at least warn them before the incident happens. But they do not get the warning or God’s protection simply because the widening gap between them and God is very wide and deep, like a gigantic gully, which gully can swallow a city.

Benefits

Many others easily get the signs and revelations of bad incidents which are about to happen, and eventually the bad incidents do not happen at all because God has prevented it. This is the fate of those people, very few people indeed, who are very close to God, who abide in paths of righteousness and Covenant System Of Worship.

Already An Overwhelming Gully

The gap between many Christians and God is now very wide and deep. It is not only very big, but also like a gigantic gully which no human being can cross by his own powers. This is because such Christians have being active members of their various and respective religions, churches, ministries and fellowships, without knowing that their churches, ministries and fellowships are not doing the will of God.

Such Christians begin to realize that they are not in the right place, when they start having series of problems or disappointments, which make them understand that they are in the wrong place of worship or force them to seek for solutions in various places, until they come to the right place of worship, where God intended for them.
